Is there a way to reset the dragging axes on this model without code?

I know I can write a line of code to set the PrimaryPart to the Torso to get the dragger to treat this model with some respect.

Is there another way to do it? I’m running into this all the time and I want to learn the right way. I just want Studio to create an AABB (axis aligned bounding box) and let me drag that around the world.

The worse part is when I spend 30 seconds orienting him the way I want (standing up) and then use the Select tool to nudge him and he’s crooked again.

Do you mean the Ctrl+L shortcut?

I can’t tell if you’re trolling me, but I tried it and it did nothing. ALT + F4 + SHIFT didn’t work either.

It should work? Pre Ctrl L:

I’m not trolling
Maybe the shortcut wasn’t bounded for you?

File → Advanced → Customize shortcuts

It could also be that shortcuts are bugged. I’ve had cases where shortcuts wouldn’t work unless I held down a specific key, like a toggle was messed up or something. Maybe try restarting studio?

@Shedletsky
Make a bounding box around your model like i did (Its only visible for the guide u can make it invisible)

Step 2 put the bounding box part inside the model you want to fix? (Im not sure what the term would be)

Yes1

Last step make the primary part of the model the bounding box you have made (im not sure how this will effect characters)

Yes1

Then that should be it make sure the box covers the whole model and when your done if you havent already make the part invisible if you would like!

(Hope this works for you sorry if it doesnt!)

This doesn’t bode well…

I wonder if it’s a beta feature I have turned off.

That might be worthy of a bug report. I don’t believe it’s a beta feature. I disabled all my beta features to test it for you, and I can still do it.
