Is there any replacement for the Dragger Instance?

As you know, the Dragger Instance is pretty limited and very old, as it only has a forced one stud increment, and its old and probably will be deprecated soon.

I would like to know if theres any replacements for the Dragger Instance available, that hopefully has the ability to change the stud increment whilst having all of the features of the Dragger instance available. (Axis rotations, it automatically orientating itself to the surface your placing, and keeping it from intersecting other parts.)

I have looked for solutions on the forum and tried to make my own Dragger system, but there was a lack of any solutions and the solutions I did find, didn’t have what I wanted, and the solution I tried to make lacked all of the features I wanted and I couldn’t find any information on how to replicate those features.

So, is there a way to replace the Dragger instance whilst keeping all of its features intact, as well as letting me change the stud increment?

would Drag Detector be ok?

I’m not too sure if its the same as dragger instance or not.

No, as they lack the ability to set increments of movement and it intersects parts, and lacks the ability to rotate on the Y and X axis.

You might have to make your own custom made one. Are you looking to have it similar to the studio movement system? If yes then I have something you might be able to use.

I am in fact trying to make it similar to the studio movement system, and I’d like to hear what you have.

Alrighty then, this was something I made really quick to experiment a few years ago that I was gonna do something with but I’ve been busy working on other things so I haven’t worked on it for a wee while.

This contains, movement, rotation and size. This may not be what you’re looking for and I’m not sure if you can blacklist (you maybe able to make a custom dragger somehow) a certain axis or not.

Here’s a model:
Roblox tools.rbxm (6.9 KB)

If this is not what you’re looking for, I believe Roblox released an open source for their dragger tools.

It wasnt what I was looking for, as im looking for something like the Dragger Instance, which its like how you drag a part in studio with select tool.

Ohhhh, so you want to make it so you can click and hold the part and move your mouse around then the part will follow?

Yes, with axis rotation and stud increments and being able to not intersect.
