Whilst I’m not planning to do anything with it currently, I’ve always been intrigued about how games like “Pls donate” manage to transfer robux from one person to another, especially due to the fact that knowing how developer products work, the funds go to the developer of the game and not anyone else.
Could anyone clear up my confusion by giving me a reason why they are able to do this?
I’m pretty sure the robux still goes to the player who owns the developer product. The developers just get like a 10% commission. There’s no special transferring of robux happening.
Exactly as Katrist said, its like selling stuff at a mall, the mall doesn’t just earn all the money, the shops still do, its just the shops are paying the mall rent for the location, or in this case, income tax
BTW, please donate used Gamepasses created by the user that owns the booth, so when they use MarketPlaceService to prompt the gamepass purchase they pass in the id of the gamepass that the player donating clicked, and that gamepass is owned by the owner of the booth and not the owner of the game (pls donate)
