Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing fine
Anyhow, I’ve been working on a new graphic for a few days. It needs a little improvement, but overall I’m really happy since this is one of my first graphic pieces.
I’ve seen games like Bloodfest, etc… I just want to make sure this is alright for a horror-themed game, or if there is a definite rule regarding gore that I could refer to.
Yes, I can see.
While I don’t know much of the specifics in the TOS here, I’m worried this could set off moderation for being too graphic. A large % of Roblox’s playerbase are under 13, and of those, likely little children. Additionally, this wouldn’t pass the Console moderation, where it’s a bit more clear and strict.
There is blood, holes (which look to be deep and disturbing) and body parts falling out of the body. Just because it is a zombie doesn’t mean it isn’t extreme violence. Just imagine if this was a real person - If it is extreme violence for a real life person, then it is extreme violence for roblox.
Also, the X-Box thing means in-game, not the game icon. The game icon can still be seen from xbox.
While no action is being applied, you have intestines visibly seen in a gore-like manner. And to your reply about the Xbox controller, regardless whatever game it’s associated with cannot have it in view if they wished to use the Xbox platform.
Also, there’s a clause in the TOS actually that could trip it up for being too explicit (which would be judged by the moderators)
If you wish, you can still upload it. If it manages to get past the image check (which all images go through before being visible on Roblox), it will likely be reporting and removed in the future.
It’s your account and your choice, but Roblox moderation for images is usually pretty tight.
There is no violence being portrayed (nor pornographic content as far as I can see), there are just injuries on the zombie. Look at this, this has been allowed BLOODFEST [Butcher + new map!] - Roblox
It is still explicit. Just because it is on a zombie does not mean it is not violent. Roblox is mainly used by children, some of which who are under 6 years old. It may not seem inappropriate for someone who is older, but it is very inappropriate for a younger audience.
Also, the game you mentioned does not have as detailed graphics as you have. Your graphics are very detailed. I suggest just uploading the image and if it doesn’t get moderated then I guess it is allowed.
Unless a Roblox Staff member or higher member such as Post Approval says it would be ok, I suggest not uploading it because none of us are roblox staff.
The zombies on Bloodfest have a design that leans more towards the Roblox, rather than realism, making it feel less explicit.
The most likely (as we aren’t Roblox moderation) answer @Capt_George would be a no, as the TOS clause allows moderation to strike it down as explicit. Moderation on images can be tough, as well.
This is a really bad argument, it’s the graphic representation of “an injury” that’s the issue. This is too graphic for anything on Roblox. Just because past examples have been allowed doesn’t mean yours will.
As always, if you have to ask, it usually means no.
As I said, the design in Bloodfest doesn’t lean nearly as much to realism as yours does. Bloodfest’s zombies fit the TOS terms as they don’t exhibit signs of being overly explicit.
Take a look back, keep an open mind, and think: which of these is the more explicity/gory zombie?
