Is this infringing on copyright?

So I’m decorating a house for my game, and I built a Rubix’s cube for one of the rooms.

I forgot about copyright, so my question is, does this count as copyright infringement even though it’s an original mesh, and would changing the colors/naming the model “Puzzle Cube” avoid copyright? Is it safer to just remove this?

TLDR: Do original meshes of existing things count as original and could this mesh get my game taken down?

Nope. there are multiple free models of the Rubik’s Cube and it’s completely fine to put yours in your game

Rubik’s patent expired in the year 2000. They no longer own the copyright of a colorful 3x3 cube puzzle. You can’t use the name or logo though, but the model in the photo is fine based on what we can see.

That’s what I assumed but I wasn’t sure so thanks for clarifying! Copyright is confusing sometimes!
