I have no idea wether this breaks tos, i’ve seen games like decaying winter or neighbourhood war have stuff like this but i do not know.

According to the Roblox Community Standards, such content is explicitly prohibited.
Of course, there are some examples of games that do get away with depicting suicide and self harm, but they are a minority and they do violate the rules.
I would say disturbing depictions are a play with fire, and to be on the safe and ethical side, rather have players simply reset.
I don’t know about Decaying Winter, but in Neighborhood War you’re not killing yourself with a gun. Now this might not make a difference from breaking your own neck, but most suicides now adays are with a gun so it might be more sensitive. Although I don’t really know if that would matter or not. The 2nd thing is that in Neighborhood War you aren’t just randomly killing yourself. Infact you only break your neck when you reset. I dont know much about you game but it seemed like that was more of a function in game. Then again it might be a different way to reset. I honestly don’t know. I would have to know more about your game.
Also, regarding that last message, I really didn’t know how to explain it so it might not make sense. Sorry!
Ay, don’t be sorry, your post makes sense. Different levels of blood, gore, violence and self harm have different positions in the spectrum between acceptable and not acceptable. After all, lots of Roblox games still feature at least some violence, especially shooter games.
Think resetting: In a Roblox or Lego game, character falls apart (parts/bricks). That can be interpreted in different ways. Characters can get hurt pretty badly when they fall from high buildings etc. But there’s still a distinction between injury without serious gore, and extreme violence, suicide and self harm.
The OP’s animation, in my opinion, won’t survive moderation. It’s way too explicit and disturbing.
No matter the game context.
I checked the mentioned games.
Decaying Winter is breaking the rules. It got banned before, as the publish date is less than a month ago! Your character grabs a knife, the camera turns around, and the figure literally stabs itself into the neck with blood all over.
I’ve heard Neighborhood Wars also had trouble in the past and got banned in a recent ban wave because of gore. The new game supposedly includes slightly milder gore and was (re)created in april this year. When I reset, I fell to the floor with no special gore.
Yeah, I see what you mean. Also funny story about Neighborhood war: It wasnt the gore that got it banned but a single syringe in a garbage can that was found when Roblox was looking over the game files! Hah, I have no clue what the mods were thinking!
Thanks for the info haha. Silly!
Neighborhood War is advertized as intentionally very gory, but I guess any strong gore can bring the game to a thin line.
The comments about the game I read also mention the reduction of gore and that it came to the radar of moderators once it got a spike of popularity.
In this game, you’re not randomly killing yourself, it’s for reset too
Thanks for explaining this. kinda sucks but i guess it will have to make do
it might not be as bad if its for reset then. But to be on the safe side I would tone it down a bit.
