I never used the “Scripts” category of the console, so I’m not expert in this field. Can someone let me know if this rate is high? Tonight my game randomly started lagging a lot on Studio. For example, when knocking NPCs with a BodyVelocity, they seem to have a “delay” when they should be moved and when they actually get moved by the BodyVelocity. Tweens made on the server seem to lag too.
This has never happened. I’m pretty sure it’s related to lag since it usually happens with laggy servers, however, but my ping is 49 and I doubt it’s my PC since it runs smoothly and perfectly fine, Studio doesn’t have FPS drops or any kind of FPS lag. What could be causing this? As I said, it was working perfectly fine and smoothly the last time I was testing the game. I don’t know how it works in-game (since it’s an update, I can’t publish it), so I’m just aware it’s laggy in Studio.
Well when it comes to things like this I always recommend to people that they should attempt to re-create the issue as many different ways as possible. If the issue keeps occurring it could either be that you have issues with your scripts and you may need to look deeper than a quick fix. If it only happens once in a blue moon then I probably wouldn’t worry about it too much. As I said try to recreate it in as many different ways as possible, maybe only 2 specific things trigger this issue > then you could look into that part of the script and see if there’s better things you could do for performance in that area.
Tried re-installing Studio and it apparently fixed it. Thanks for the suggestions tho, hopefully I don’t encounter this kind of problem anymore.
