Is this UI decent?

I’m not really a UI designer and more of a scripter but I can still do UI, my leaderboard is in the backround and a different color but I thought my leaderboards look better in black rather than white, but my UI I think looks better in white.

By the way would it still look good to add colorful buttons even though the stuff is white?

And colorful things in general?

Its alright, But I would change some things:

  • Button/Label Color: From what I can see in the background, you have a black leaderboard, but your UI doesn’t match that, make the background one solid color, for example, black and the text white, so you don’t have this weird split-screen. I would also change the purchase button, by making the text white, making the background transparent, and a slight white UI stroke, because I think the green doesn’t really match the clean/modern aesthetic your going for.

  • Positioning/Sizing: The purchase button is cramped at the bottom, and the 4 text labels as well, make the Headers thicker or a little smaller, so people don’t pay attention to them that much, maybe make the features/benefits in bullet points, so it looks cleaner, and maybe a smaller premium logo, as it looks too big. Or a silhouette/outline of the premium logo, so it looks cleaner. I also notice the uneven size between the top buttons, the support button is a little smaller than the other buttons.

  • General Button/Sorting: If you have headings/buttons for passes, nukes and support, why not make one for premium? Because the premium part feels very big and in your face, try to make a separate section/button for it so you have more space for the rest of the buttons and other UI.

Try to take inspiration from other UI you have seen, experiment with what looks good, and also use a color palette, so your work can look harmonised, you can find some generators with a simple google search.

Always think about the target audience, where the player will first look and the visual appeal of your UI, its like decorating a cake, if you add to many decorations, the cake might look rushed/crowded. Sometimes, less is more.

Yeah i’ve tried doing this, what do you think?

Did you want to apply it on contextual or border? I’ve tried doing borde if that’s what you wanted, is this good?

I’ll do this too thanks

Problem with this is, I’ve tried doing it and the bullet points look really smalll.

That’s not true actually, I think it looks like that but I checked all the sizes were the same. But I’ve changed it a bit now so it looks like all are even and I added a UI list layout.

I kinda can’t do this because premium is something I really wanna promote in my game to get more revenue, it can get me alot of revenue with the 2x time perk I think. I don’t want people to glance over it.

The UI that look good are too hard for me to make though, and alot of them kinda dont fit the style my game is looking for.

While reading the description and the replies within this post, I initially got confused but after reading twice, I get the idea that you are more related to coding than UI. It is okay and I believe you can always improve your skills!

The user interface of the shop feels blank and doesn’t give that much attraction… We can notice that the gaps between the huge iconography of the Roblox Premium and the information are not the same, making it messy. If we were to review the titles of each section that the shop contains, the fonts are not in the same size:

Furthermore, the list of what you could get if making a subscription is not organized. Visually speaking, the texts are all in different sizes and aligned at the bottom. In the expected visuals, it could have been something like this:

  • 10% Bonus
  • 2X Time

All of them are aligned to one side, on the left side (as is common).

Overall, I believe that you could reimagine the visual aspects of the shop. Don’t try adding just TextButtons with titles, try being creative! For instance, use both combinations of vector icons with texts. In case you feel comfortable making one solid color, you can apply for both! They can be white and have a black stroke. Also, what @JAcoboiskaka1121 said it is recommended too, and can certainly help you out even further!

Looks nice, good job!

Border, like what you did in the image you linked, maybe a little thicker.

Rich text might help, if you turn this on you can scale it bigger than usual.

I guess im hallucinating lmao.

Then make the button more glowing, like one of those shiny polished animations, or make a separate button for it next to the shop button.

Nothing is too hard, Sometimes I also struggle to make something, but I just don’t give up on making it. Heres a quick sneak peak of a menu I kinda gate kept for a while.

Took me a while to make it, but it doesn’t look half bad, I think you already know what menu recreation this is…
It was kind of hard, but still possible, sure some things might not be possible at the moment. But you just have to create clever work arounds.

in terms of the layout of the UI, i think its fine, but the design is very mediocre.
id personally recommend for you to play around with different fonts, and to also use some more image labels, like the shop button, you could have a shopping cart icon and some text saying “shop” below or above it rather than just saying “shop”.
for the actual frame itself it feels very bland as there is no design. i would recommend for you to try out some patterns and gradients.
for the text, you can also use UIStroke to add some borders to the text, and also gradients for a cool effect on the text.
apart from that, its a good start.

I’ve read through everyone’s replies and i’ll be trying to apply them soon. thanks.

I kinda don’t like games with perfect colors (what I mean by “perfect colors” is that they’re like #00FF00, so they go all in on green, but they don’t add a bit of the other colors.
Try messing a little bit with the black background to make it like a really, REALLY dark purple gradient, and also make a script that blurs the background of the game while a UI frame is visible. For me, it kinda gives a “new” style thingimajig

Yes, this UI is decent! Good job on creating it! How long did it take to make this UI? What will you use it in? I’d say make a different colored outline for the text in the black space. Other than that, it’s good!
