Is using SFX from toolbox safe?

Hello, so i sometimes take audio from toolbox as i don’t have option to record SFX myself, i try to use Roblox SFX but sometimes it’s just impossible as Roblox sadly doesn’t have much of a choose for some sounds, so i take them from toolbox

So is it safe to use them? and if i accidentally uploaded something copy-righted, would my game be striked if it’s not pet simulator but rather small project? and at the end - if my game gets popular hopefully, is it better to replace SFX with sounds made by myself?

Maybe i’ll make a poll so it’s easier to answer

  • Yes it’s safe to use all toolbox sounds
  • It’s relatively safe to use toolbox SFX only that doesn’t sound like other games
  • It’s relatively unsafe to use free SFX too
  • It’s super unsafe, only Roblox audio and don’t use SFX at all

Edit: Fixed poll being broken

I would double check the sound you’re uploading to check if it’s really not copy-righted. also you should take older sounds from the toolbox (so they are less likely to be copy-righted) or from verified creators that make the sound self and set them online for everyone to use.

You could also look for: Free-SFX websites and take sounds from there and upload them, but i would not recommend that since it’s like the toolbox in ROBLOX Studio.

I don’t upload sounds, i just wonder if i take verified creator’s sound, e.g from the top of toolbox, is it safe if it’s for instance “Click” sound or “Pop” or “Explosion” is OK to be used if it’s:

  • at the top of the toolbox
  • verified creator
  • sometimes likes
  • doesn’t sound like Mario or other popular game

I use free-SFX from roblox, tho i’ll look at those websites, still thx for answer
