They can and will. Don’t use someone else’s wrongs as justification for doing this. Moderation is done case-by-case. There is -1 reason (notice the negative, that means even less reason) to add a voice chat since absolutely no game is fit for this. Also angry parents whose kids lied about their age is going to use the voice chat, then Roblox is gonna get on the news again, then we are gonna have a ton of drama again, yeahhhh I think Roblox would prefer you didn’t thanks.

Today Roblox VC Test was published on roblox, this game was developed by serveral people included tubers93 which is a famous exploiter for participating in the early 2020 Meepcity hack
once you enter this game, it request you to go to a page , enter the code that the game gives you and start recording, when you recorded your audio it sends it to the game, sadly the game was shutdown by the owner, due to the page being down

No, they certainly did get banned, and even if we want to take one of the most lenient punishments possible, a suspension for some extended period of time, you can’t compare yourself to someone else and justify rule breaking behavior by stating “well this person did it and didn’t get banned therefore it is allowed”.
To reply to your other post as well, this is not little compared to “condos and robux scams that they don’t fix”. For one thing, ROBLOX also consistently takes down inappropriate games like the condos and robux scams that you mentioned, and so do games with voice chat. Why? Because it is impossible to moderate and paves the way for EVEN MORE inappropriate content.
Lets take a very basic scenario: someone joins a game with a VC (full of children) and starts repeating expletives, then what?
It is a safeguard to protect against scenarios like the one I mentioned and as such you can and most likely will get banned for it; it simply isn’t worth the risk.

ROBLOX receiving bad publicity has nothing to do with this, and it is not the reason why it is against the rules in the first place.
ROBLOX, for better or worse, sincerely cares about the safety and privacy of the people on their platform and as-such expertly and strictly moderates ALL sources of content on the platform, this includes Clothing, Decals, and even Voice Chat.
It is also insanely illegal to have a children’s game with Voice Chat capabilities, it’s one of the reasons why Discord is forced to be 13+, and it’s the same reason why any game with Voice Chat capabilities has to be labeled at least 12+.

Text to Speech is the premise behind a very popular (old) module named Chat Voice by Loleris and is not against the terms of service so long as it is moderated as strictly as the default ROBLOX chat.
I and most (if not all) others in this thread would much rather you implement Text to Speech functionality as opposed to using Voice Chat that would effectively get your account terminated.

Because ROBLOX is not 12+?
ROBLOX from the day of it’s inception has been marketed as 7+ game, with only recently it being officially rated as an E 10+ game. That is most certainly not the same as 12+.
There are certain laws that specifically safeguard a child’s privacy and security online that should ROBLOX knowingly breach, there could be massive fines set in place. (Since ROBLOX is intercontinental it can’t be protected by a safe-harbor esque law)

I think its because unturned is owned by steam, which has different terms and conditions which you must agree to before downloading steam that basically states that you are already 13+ to use the application and any game on steam no matter the age rating can have vc because you agreed that you are 13+ when first downloading steam. It can also state that the company is not responsible for anything that happens from voice chatting.

That has never been stated ANYWHERE in this thread; ROBLOX certainly can add a voice chat, and most likely will at some point in the future.
The main issue is moderation, there is absolutely NO tech that can provide real-time audio moderation, and so Voice Chat would have to be handed out to trusted users similar to how UGC Creators are carefully chosen from people who are trusted to not abuse it.
Once again to restate, no one has ever said that they definitively can’t add a Voice Chat feature, while it is improbable and impractical, it is not impossible.

I am pretty sure roblox on xbox has voice chat I just don’t know much about it as I have never personally tried it.

It’s possible, and has been done recently. It’s just not officially supported and the game that showcased the feature is now content-deleted.

No voice chat isnt possible since the game shut down but you can record a mp4 and upload it to Roblox Then Play It In A Boombox Game, Just Remember Make It Appropriate

Some people might have used boomboxes and put in a certain code they made with their own audio inside of it or they might have used somebody else’s.
