Hi! I’m trying to import a mesh along with its animations—
It has been fully built, animated, and rigged in blender – >
I have successfully exported the rig and the mesh from blender as an fbx and have been able to import it into studio using roblox’s new custom character importer. I then go to import the animations (which I did by clicking import animation, then selecting the same fbx file I used to import the mesh, but I get this error.
As you can see, the rig and the mesh is the same, but the animations are missing from the import! Also, the mesh deformation DOES still work if I move the joints in roblox the old fashioned way, but I want the blender animations. Does anyone know how to fix this?
EDIT I just figured it out by fiddling around with it, but I’d like to leave this post up for people with the same issue. When exporting your models with the animations, make sure on the armature tab its set to “Pose Position” instead of “Rest Position” or you’ll have the same issue as me!
