Issue with equipping tools

So I was building a balloon and when I was done I put it into a tool and I put it into starter pack and when I equip it, its not in my hand its where I built it so like when its equipped its on the floor and when its not equipped its like invisible. How do I make it o when you equip it, it goes in your hand?

Have you checked if the balloon is anchored or not?

I am anchoring it now, I will reply if it works or not.
I want the balloon to be in the players hand but it is in the ground. Is this because it is unanchored?

Here is a video to explain

You’d want the tool to be unanchored, or else it’ll stay in the same position

But how will I make it in my hand? Thats all I want.

Do you have a handle part, and is everything welded together?

“By default, tools are held in the right hand and have a handle in them, which is a Part named “Handle” inside (though one is not required if Tool.RequiresHandle is off)” (Tool | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub)

Make sure that you do this, then try welding everything to the handle.

I think this is what you mean:

Try doing this, rather than a model:

This is just how I do it, so my apologies if it doesn’t make a difference.

Edit: If you need to weld them easily, this is a safe and reliable plugin. Just select the handle, then the rest of the parts and click “Weld All”

Additionally, here’s a safe tool grip editor if you need to edit the grip after putting it together.

One more edit - make sure everything is anchored and have collisions disabled.

I have done this:

I will announce if it works or not.

My hand goes up like it is trying to carry it, but it remains in the air like the last video.

A video to explain more:

@amadeupworld2, it is unanchored, is it supposed to be?

@Pythoicus, Everything is working fine except for position

I hope I gave some extra info here…

That’s strange. If it’s unanchored and welded to the handle, it should work properly. Is the handle part unanchored as well?

Checking now, sorry for the long wait, I ran out of batteries.

This is what I did:
I just inserted a weld into the part. Is that what I am supposed to do?

handle part is unanchored…
