To elaborate, when I open Roblox Studio, it doesn’t open. I’ve experienced two different results so far. The first one is that Roblox Studio gets stuck on a “loading screen,” although I’m not quite sure what it’s called. It’s the Roblox Studio icon that appears before the application opens, and it just remains stuck there, unresponsive, while utilizing CPU in the task manager. The second result is that there is no visual response at all; it just shows up in the task manager.
As for the fixes I’ve attempted, they are as follows: I have tried restarting my computer, re-installing Roblox Studio, using older versions, deleting temporary files, and waiting. It has been a couple of days since I first encountered this issue. The last time I opened Roblox Studio, it was working fine, so the problem seems to have occurred randomly.
Please let me know if there is anyone who can assist me with this matter, and I apologize if this is posted in the wrong category on the forums.
To further add onto this, I’m also experiencing the same issue with the Roblox game client. There is no visual response at all; it simply appears in the task manager, consuming CPU and memory usage.
I wanted to provide an update on this topic with a solution that worked for me regarding the issue of Roblox Studio not opening properly. I followed these steps:
Open the task manager and locate the Roblox Studio process.
Right-click on the process and select “Open file location.”
In the file location, right-click on the Roblox Studio application file and choose “Properties.”
In the Properties window, go to the “Compatibility” tab.
Check the box that says “Run this program in compatibility mode for.”
From the drop-down menu, select “Windows Vista” as the compatibility mode.
After applying these settings, I was able to successfully open Roblox Studio. It’s worth mentioning that I tried other compatibility modes such as Windows 8, but they didn’t work for me. However, please note that this solution may vary depending on your system configuration.
I hope this information proves helpful to those who come across this thread and are facing similar issues.
@Subcritical_alt Is there any chance I could get some assistance on this? I’d like to note I’ve seen a majority of other people with this exact issue and I don’t think it’s my side of things. I could be wrong but regardless I can’t do anything. I’ve done a complete uninstall of Studio so there’s no corrupt installation.
Bump. I still can’t open any Roblox applications. Definitely not on their side — just hoping someone can assist me. I had the same issue occur with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla however it fixed itself. I’ll probably do more research on what’s causing it on that specific game because there’s nothing I can find about it regarding Roblox or Studio.
This is ridiculous. More than a month later, this issue still persists. If anyone else encounters this issue in the future – from my knowledge, your best option is to use any of the Windows compatibility modes. There’s some freezing, but I use a third-party code editor, so it’s not that bad.
I forgot to mention this earlier, but I’ll be closing this thread now. It appears that there isn’t anyone who knows how to solve the problem. If anyone comes across this issue, please note that I haven’t resolved it yet; I’m currently using a temporary solution, which involves utilizing Windows compatibility mode for the “RobloxStudioBeta.exe” file. You can locate this file in the task manager under the name “RobloxStudio” while it’s stuck in the loading phase.
I am also stuck at the Loading screen.
1st: I use print(asset) to see all the asset that I load.
2nd: For me I saw that it stuck at my character. So I changed the character’s Accessories: Shirt, Hair, glasses, face. And then It worked. It passed the Loading screen.
I don’t know which Accessory is causing this.
The best way is to replace them one by one and test.
Or remove the character Preload from the Loading process.
Alright — here’s my final update: It’s working but, I did nothing to fix it. This issue first occured nearly three months ago. Since then there’s been many Windows updates, driver updates, and definitely a lot more. I’d say the issue for me personally was either related to a bug on Studio’s end, or a dependency issue as I did encounter the issue a singular time on Assassins Creed: Valhalla. Best of luck, all.
