Issue Description
The Astronaut Helmet accessory has multiple issues with its mesh and textures:
- The textures clip in certain areas, making the appearance inconsistent.
- Upon importing the mesh to Blender for inspection and cleanup, several problems became evident:
- The UV map is incorrectly set up, causing further texture issues.
- The mesh contains unnecessary faces under the visor that clip into other parts and cannot be removed using Blender’s Merge by Distance feature.
Reproduction Steps
- Equip the Astronaut Helmet accessory in Roblox Studio and observe the visual glitches.
- Export the accessory mesh and import it into Blender or another 3D modeling software.
- Attempt to clean up the mesh by:
- Removing unnecessary vertices.
- Converting the mesh from triangles to quads.
- Using Merge by Distance to clean up overlapping geometry.
- Observe:
- UV map bugs when applying textures.
- Unnecessary, clipping faces beneath the visor that cannot be fixed.
Expected Behavior
The Astronaut Helmet accessory should:
- Render textures correctly without clipping or distortion.
- Contain an optimized, clean mesh free of unnecessary vertices or faces.
- Allow standard 3D modeling software tools (e.g., Merge by Distance) to remove unwanted geometry.
