Issues with Astronaut Helmet Accessory Mesh and Textures

Issue Description

The Astronaut Helmet accessory has multiple issues with its mesh and textures:

  • The textures clip in certain areas, making the appearance inconsistent.
  • Upon importing the mesh to Blender for inspection and cleanup, several problems became evident:
    • The UV map is incorrectly set up, causing further texture issues.
    • The mesh contains unnecessary faces under the visor that clip into other parts and cannot be removed using Blender’s Merge by Distance feature.

Reproduction Steps

  1. Equip the Astronaut Helmet accessory in Roblox Studio and observe the visual glitches.
  2. Export the accessory mesh and import it into Blender or another 3D modeling software.
  3. Attempt to clean up the mesh by:
    • Removing unnecessary vertices.
    • Converting the mesh from triangles to quads.
    • Using Merge by Distance to clean up overlapping geometry.
  4. Observe:
    • UV map bugs when applying textures.
    • Unnecessary, clipping faces beneath the visor that cannot be fixed.

Expected Behavior

The Astronaut Helmet accessory should:

  • Render textures correctly without clipping or distortion.
  • Contain an optimized, clean mesh free of unnecessary vertices or faces.
  • Allow standard 3D modeling software tools (e.g., Merge by Distance) to remove unwanted geometry.

NOTE: This issue also affects the other item called Firefighter Helmet - Roblox, which uses the same mesh.
