Issues with pathfinding

What does the red “X” icon on the terrain instance indicate?

I used QuadSpinner Gaea to generate the terrain, but I have done some manual changes to the terrain.

Furthermore, I am using pathfinding to enable NPCs to navigate the terrain, and I have encountered an issue where the waypoints occasionally bunch up very closely, similar to what is discussed in this post. However, I am unsure whether these issues are related.

This glitch appears to happen most frequently near the ground paths that I manually painted onto the terrain using the paint tool.
