So basically for many months I’ve been getting some issues with Roblox, this all started when hyperion first came out.
1 issue:
Roblox installer never finishes downloading, no matter what I do, once I try to open roblox game, it just opens the app. How do I know it never finishes installing? Cause I don’t get the successfully downloaded prompt, and theres no new version folder in Roblox folders.
After Byfron first came out, it didn’t support VM’s (don’t know if thats still the case), and after I turned off VM in BIOS, it started working. But now, whenever I launch a game on the app, sometimes, it just literally kills / crashes my internet, and I don’t mean that only roblox doesn’t load, nothing loads (google, discord, etc) I have to close the roblox app and reconnect to my WIFI.
I am using Windows 11.
My internet speed is more than enough for roblox.
Yes, i’ve tried COMPLETELY removing Roblox, so theres no sign of it, still same issue.
My DNS is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
No VPN
Yes i’ve flushed my DNS many times, didnt help much
Sorry if I posted in the wrong category, I did not have permissions to post in Bugs
For those who are experiencing what I did. I fixed it by uninstalling some apps. Not sure which ones caused the problem though. But I know it has something to do with apps that change fanspeed or something like that.
This issue is caused by Roblox adding insanely strict anticheat where even something as having third party app that changes the clockspeed or fanspeed will be the reason why Roblox doesn’t open.
RivaTuner will start up again the next time you boot your PC so you just need to keep closing it. For a more permanent solution, you can uninstall it so you don’t have to worry about closing it everytime.
This also applies to other programs such as Stardock WindowBlinds 11 and MSI Afterburner so check your Task Manager again if they are running in the background.
Another solution works if you own a Logitech steering wheel. If you disconnect that it may open up Roblox again.
