Iwo Jima Project, progress so far

Iwo Jima Project

Hi, I’m sensei.

This is the project I’ve been working on, and it’s a successor to my previous game, Unreal.

What is Unreal?

Unreal was a project I made by myself a few weeks back, as I wanted to learn more about the FPS genre and how to make one.

The game was a relative success (in my standards) achieving over 200 visits, and 20 favorites. However, the project was very messy, and very buggy at times. I made many mistakes during development, so this new project is meant to succeed Unreal and for me to learn from my mistakes.

Who worked on Unreal?

Me, that’s it. I’m a solo dev, meaning that I prefer to work alone. My reasoning for this is because everything is at my own pace, and I don’t have to wait for anyone to finish. My current project (The Iwo Jima Project) is also being worked on by myself and myself only.

As of now I am working on the Japanese side (the character swapper is complete), with their guns and stuff. Then I’ll work on the map.

Conclusion

Yeah, that’s about it. Feel free to send me feedback via replies.

Edit

This project was completed a long time ago, and this post kinda sat in the dust for a while. This project has been updated twice with two content updates, and it’s generally good to go.

You can play the game here:

As of now, I’m sort of burnt out on this project, and I decided to slow down on the updates and work on new projects. I won’t be announcing them as of now, because I want the other project to be finished at least halfway, so that I can minimalize my chances of losing motivation to work on that game.

Wow! Amazing! My advice is that maybe you could add some character to the arms, like pose them and make them look slightly bent.

You mean the targets that I’m shooting?
