  • A completed catch by the OOB is depended on ball, and not feet.
Field Goals & PAT
  • On the PAT kicking the field goal over the bars is a false kick.
  • Field goal range is within the 45 yard-line on the opponents side.
  • Field Goal Stacking is allowed.
  • Field Goal Diving is allowed.
  • The Kicking Unit must all be in the hashes.
  • The Kicker must be 8 yards away from the snapper.

SCORING

If you walk into the opposing team’s endzone (or touchdown) you score 6 points for your team. This takes you one step closer to winning! After the score you have 3 post-score options.

EXTRA POINTS

You have 3 options after you scored a touchdown.

Kick a field goal from the 15 yard line for 1 point.
Run a scrimmage play from the 2 yard line for 2 points.
Or have the option to run a scrimmage play from the 20 yard line for 3 points.

GAME TIMING

The OFA will operate with a 15-second play clock, which begins when both teams are set.
The game-clock will stop on incomplete passes and of bounds plays but continue on run plays or kneels.

Both teams have three timeouts per team per half.

KICKOFFS

Both teams have to have their entire team on the 40 yard line, and 1 receiver at the 10 yard line for the receiving team.

An onside kick is an opportunity to get the ball back if you are losing. You can only kick an onside if you are losing. Both teams need to be 40-40 to receive the ball, and the kick has to pass the 50 yard line.

A sky kick is another opportunity to get the ball back if you are losing. You can only kick a sky kick if you are losing. Both teams need to be 40-40 to receive the ball and the kick has to pass the 50 yard line in the sky.

A punt is something you can do on fourth down, if you do not want to turn-over the current yard-line you are at.

Punts are required if you are over 4th & 20.

A kick that hits the ceiling is downed.

A kick that touches the back endzone is 40, no longer 25.

OVERTIME

Overtime is a time period if two teams are tied with a tied score. You have 7 minutes to see who scores first and take the win. If nobody scores within the 7 minutes, it’s a tie game.

Both teams only get 2 timeouts in Overtime.

Overtime is basically a sudden death match.

CHALLENGING

Sometimes you may think: “That play wasn’t fair.” You have the power to challenge the play. Challenging is when you demand a review over the play to be re-watched for your team’s satisfaction. If you do not win the challenge, you lose a timeout. If you win the challenge, the play gets overturned and you keep your timeout.

Sometimes you can get upset if you lose. And you have the right to feel that way. But it doesn’t come to verbal abuse, such as: “Stupid Referee!”, “Bias league!”, “Don’t ever be a referee again.” Any abusive verbal messages can lead you to a: Ejection, Suspension, and League Termination. We highly recommend you do not do this.

Thank you for reading our league rules.

And welcome to the OFA.

Signed,

Commissioner shilowrld
