Jide, my scripting language officially compiles to JS!

Here is a quick link:

The compiler is not released yet, but seriously, please tell me what you guys think of it?

The main reason for posting this is testing the waters as far as seeing who might be interested in trying out the released compiler for everyday projects

Looking at the syntax, nothing strikes out as exciting to me. What’s the draw to your language?

Wouldn’t just using JS be easier :grimacing:

Whats done is done, its already made

That argument wouldn’t work if you killed someone.

My point is that you need to understand whether what you did actually produced the result you wanted. What does it do better?

It has a better class-system than javascript, better legibility, its simpler, its more organized

I’m also coming from a place where organization and legibility are huge. I work mostly with the JVM ecosystem, so anyone whos coming from a stronger type-system into a dynamic type system will be looking for something along these lines,
and to that effect, I’ve made what I wanted

Your class system looks worse than the one ES6 provides.

The source is not currently out for the public yet :frowning:
I have to keep working out some things.

Also, that sounds real cool; TypeScript to Lua :open_mouth:

that’s kinda mean, man.

I want to figure out what makes his language special, to which he answered to someone else “It has a better class-system than javascript”. That’s the context of that.

Its okay we both have our opinions, its no problem

i just meant the delivery, but alright.

Ill relook at the spec, but in any case its okay im not trying to sell the whole idea rn anywho  just testing the waters. Its pretty much a 50 50 split. Likes/Dislikes that is.
