This is very on the line of TOS. I would suggest trying to create your own main character which might be similar to joker to avoid copyright claims.
As for music, roblox has hundreds of thousands of songs avaliable to you for free. Take your pick

It’s still the same song, speed doesn’t really matter it’s just the content of the music like if the player can easily relate that to the Joker movie in like ten seconds that’s an issue so tweaking the juicy parts of the song would be better.

It’s not all violence, it’s mainly mental health issues that is being focused on in the movie, so there shouldn’t be a ton of gore and violence.
When there is violence, it’s over the top for this platform. The movie is about society and mental illness but that’s another thing, would most of this audience on roblox understand the message of it? You could try to tone it down and make it more kid friendly but then you lose important details and it may not feel the same as the movie.

Any music that provides a tense environment is always good for this kind of stuff.

I have to say this is new for roblox but to be for real I don’t think it will be you know a game everyone wants to play you watched the Joker movie it’s uh… need less to say is sad and really not a good movie to be for real I just walked out of there of how sad and very very bad but to be for I don’t think this should be made a game… but if it is for roblox make sure it follows roblox TOS rules and for the music try finding something that is close to there music but where you can’t get copyrighted for there are a lot of songs like it.

Using ANY assets from the movie which weren’t originally created by you can result in a DMCA strike against you, it doesn’t matter if you modified them or not.
This does include using pictures of the movie so your UI would already be a big nono.
Even calling it “Joker - The game” or just “Joker” CAN already result in a dmca claim depending on the context of the game, especially if you plan on monitizing it so just don’t risk it and create your own IP instead.

I agree that majority of this platform wouldn’t get the message of mental illness and society, but the other side of the community would understand this better. Violence shouldn’t be to exposed in roblox games which is why blood flow was deleted.

I personally would hate to see this game on Roblox and if it was allowed in it’s current state I’d be very disappointed The generally idea of a Guy With mental illness going around killing people is messed up in of it’s self I also find it sad that it’s something you’d like to invest your time in you seem to have a lot of talent and I’d really advise you invest it in something that’s much more family friendly. (These are just some of my thoughts)

I’d like to add something here.
I see a lot of complaints that there would be issues with mental illness. How is it different than some of the other games out there, like scary elevator? (Not singling you out, Devs. Your game came to mind first)
That said, using someone else copyrighted work has always been a faux pas to me. Why?
Simply because if it was your copyrighted work, would you not want the same respect?
I’ve always wondered though, if you create a full game and bring it to their attention would they consider paperwork? That’s if they even read your email or whatever medium you use to contact them. And then if it’s rejected you’ve spent all that time for nothing… Unless you alter assets and gameplay that would conflict with copyright.
My suggestion is, turn it into something else. Your menu looks great, and you have potential. Make something you can copyright for yourself and all those variables will be nulled
