Hi! I’m new in roblox development and this is my first game, it is still in Early Development and hoping will be released soon.
Introduction
JUNKYARD is simple dodge game when you will be picked as a Trash or a Junkman randomly. Earn scrap gold by winning the game to unlock more Trash with different benefits!
Gameplay
Each round, player will be picked as a Junkman or a Trash, as a Junkman kill the trash by throwing available Junk and be careful not to run out of cash because throwing Junk cost cash. As a Trash you only have to dodge the Junk until the round ends.
Junkman win if there is no Trash
Trash win if the round ends
Feedback
I need some feedback about the Gameplay if there is a bug or is it too hard for the trash to dodge or can be anything.
Note: I know my game UI and model suck because I’m not good at modelling and designing lol ( you can give feedback for the map and UI too )
I’ve already created the simulation so you can test the gameplay with only 1 player
Note: There will be bug in the part who win Trash or Junkman because I screwed up the script when making the simulation LOL, but it is okay, it will not ruin the gameplay and I know how to fix it
I dont have much feedback but its really difficult to know where to put trash to kill players and its kind of confusing, I wasnt sure what i had to do until I died 3 times
This is pretty fun and the idea sounds very cool at first, but here comes the problem, it’s basically the Avalanche minigame from Epic Minigames, but here is the problem:
You can’t really dodge the items unless ur very lucky that the rubbish isn’t coming directly towards you + If you are standing at the back
It’s more luck-based than skill-based due to how quickly it drops, it’s basically impossible to dodge anything
I managed to survive all the rounds, but I can see how some junk can easily kill me if it wasn’t a bot throwing them
Also, just curious if there is lore on why we are sentient trash. Else, it’s pretty weird why a junkman is throwing more junk at sentient garbage.
Maybe in future versions, you could do more with the scrap coins - Like a shop for Scrapman too:
Time increase for Junkman
Maybe for the cost of 100 Scrap coins, the Junkman player can increase their maximum timer by 10 seconds(Maximum x1 purchase only, you don’t want the round to be too long)
Cost less if it last 1 round, and way more if it lasts permanently, this gives incentive for players to save their scrap coins
Different floors for Junkman
Maybe for 500 Scrap coins the Junkman can buy a conveyor floor that pushes players towards the junk-dropping area, this would make it harder for the Trash team players and would be rewarding for players who grinded the game
Maybe for 200 Scrap coins the Junkman can buy an ice floor, where it’s slippery for the Trash team players, so it’s harder for them to dodge the attacks
Abilities for both teams, instead of relying on the skins, it would be cool if we could play as different skins and use other skin’s abilities(After it’s unlocked ofc)
Maybe for let’s day 5k, Scrap coins, the Junkman could buy a AI that throws rubbish(Like ur simulation thing), hence it’s double rubbish raining speed, it could make for players grinding the game to get better abilities to have a better chance to win
For the location to put the junk is on red area, but to kill players you have to decide where to put the junk is certain position of the red area, you have to calculate it because it has physic and may not fall in linear way. Thank you for the feedback though
I’ve tested it my self and I always end up dead lol, yes I’ll lower the Junk speed to make players have a chance to dodge, also there is no lore for now, maybe I’ll have to come up with a story to make the game interesting(?)
The thing I’m lacking is to make player stay and play in the game and your ideas gives me hope that maybe I can make more active players, thank you for all your feedbacks I like your shop ideas and I’ll try to implement it in the future
Another tiny/minor suggestion that could also solve reza254’s problem with the game:
For the ground between trashman and rubbish team, make the ground a it transparent, so the junkman knows the location of the rubbish team easier without intentionally bending down.
