Just want to talk about rithro avatars

So I’m designing this game i wanted to use rithro avatar over the blocky r15 type, but if people really don’t like rithro, ill stick with blocky avatar for my game. Would you play Roblox game if prompted to used rithro only? If not Why?

I’ve done some research and seen that top 10 games all use the blocky avatar. I get it its the classic Roblox look, and that some old accessories don’t work on rithro. All i keep seeing is people talk about looks “uncanny” and “ugly”. My opinoin is they dont look bad at all if you ask me. I think something else is going maybe devs dont want to use rithro because it takes more time than slapping a game together with blocky maps

I mean if those ar your avatars the look like gonna get moderated.
however im developing a game which uses full thro anyway,

So i think go for it.
People will adapt.

The answer is simple.

An in-game mandatory avatar creator (Like Absolvement or World//Zero) would be fine.

Allowing user-made avatars but blocking anything that isn’t Rthro would be horrible.

If Rthro is part of the game, it works. If you just to force it for no good reason at all, prepare for backlash.

the consistent error of rithro is insane :sob:

Because they don’t look human nor fit the Roblox style.
They have these weird giant anime-ish eyes while trying to glaze realism.
It just feels wrong

I, for example, in the game I’m currently making, did make a rig very similar to the Roblox Boy bundle but heavily modified to use skinned mesh/some UV map fixes.

I’m not trying to look realistic like Rthro does but not staying too blocky like classic characters do.
Realism in games is ironically unrealistic and boring.
