Defensive Rework

The defensive style type has been reworked to be more smooth and reliable. It is the same old hold to block system that you’re all familiar with. But it works differently in a couple of ways.

  • Stun - There is two type of stuns now. The normal type, that everyone is use to, and the
    defensive type. Now how do these stuns work?
    • Normal - This works pretty simple and straight forward. 85% of the stun’s length, you will be
      slowed to roughly half walk speed. During the remaining 15%, your walk speed will gradually
      return to default, in a linear speed.
    • Defensive - This one works very similarly to the normal stun. The difference is that your walk
      speed will be 1/5 of your default speed, making you much slower. You will be this slow for 40% of your stun duration. During the remaining 60%, your walk speed will gradually return to
      default, in a exponential speed.
  • Block - Although the block mechanics are pretty much the same, there is one big key difference.
    Every style has a set block time, typically averaging one second long. Defensive styles have two block lengths. The gist is that the longer you hold your block, the faster you can attack after. For example, lets say we have two numbers, 0.5 and 0.1. If you tap your block, you will be able to attack after 0.5 seconds. Although, if you hold your block to its fullest length, you can attack in 0.1 seconds. Since you can let go of your block at any time, this number will decrease linearly throughout the block.
