Keyboard and chat input gets stuck if you have keyboard open while teleporting

Repro steps:

  1. Have the mobile keyboard out before you load into the place you’re teleported to.
  2. The keyboard will be stuck on your screen so you are unable to press move or jump, cannot enter a message into chat, and basically have to rejoin.

In addition, it seems the chat input also comes with you as you teleport. It is as if it overlays the old chat input with the new chat in the place. Here’s an example:

(the chat does fade away a bit so you won’t see the box after but “Type here to chat” is still stuck with it)

Note: You do not need to have anything typed in for the bug to happen, only the keyboard being open before teleporting.

Tested on an iOS device. I do not know if this bug can be repro’d in Android.

How did you open the keyboard? I am unable to reproduce this because leaving an app with the keyboard closes it.

I’m teleporting from place to place, not leaving the game universe. Keep the keyboard open from trying to type into chat and if you get teleported in the midst of that, it’ll happen.

I specifically prompted a teleport and then tried to type in chat to get this bug.

I am in the process of checking over bug reports and following up on some bugs that haven’t received any activity in a while.
Is this issue still occurring or can you confirm that this bug has been resolved? We are having a hard time reproducing this issue.

I am still able to reproduce this bug. If the testing place may matter, I am doing it in a game named Hexaria.

I open the chat and type stuff after initiating a teleport (before the teleport occurs of course).

On latest iOS app version: 2.463.417004.

I have the issue too and it still happens, if u try to chat in a Roblox game and type while being teleported to another place your keyboard will be stuck on screen and u can’t get rid of it. I hope this gets fixed because it’s really annoying.

Sorry to bump this thread, but this been happening to me on PC, and it doesn’t involve the keybord.
It’s been the same, but I don’t even have to do anything for it to occur.
I’ve tried reinstalling and nothing works. Happens with all games.

Sorry to bump this topic, but has this bug been fixed yet? It’s still occuring, it also doesn’t just occuring while teleporting as it can happen randomly and you have to leave the game for it to close. (On IOS Devices)

What do you mean how do you open the keyboard? Just tap on the bar that might somehow say press / to open!

This may be bad. But I think games with the new keyboard patched it. However. I can’t chat in the game Rec It at all. And I still can’t make bug reports so yeah Roblox patch it now please all of these bugs
Edit: was patched for a while. But is happening again
