Keyframes disappeared! help!

You can write your topic however you want, but you need to answer these questions:

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
I would like to recreate my models animations.

  2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
I was going to fix something in the animation editor, but when I opened it, all my keyframes disappeared, the animation length is the same but no keyframes.

  3. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Developer Hub?
I looked, but most issues had to do with the hierarchy of the joints. I imported and loaded the animations, all the keyframes are gone, odd thing is, the keyframes are still visible in the explorer, so I have no idea what happened. I exited studio and went back in, no difference.

After that, you should include more details if you have any. Try to make your topic as descriptive as possible, so that it’s easier for people to help you!

This happened after I was copy pasting all the new animation ids into their proper scripts, I realized I hadn’t named the last keyframes, so I opened up the editor and saw that there wasn’t any keyframes. Sometime during this I also had to rename a limb, however idk whether that would’ve interfered with the editor.

The two scripts I was “modifying” was the animate script and my run script.

The joint hierarchy starts at the HumanoidRootPart like it’s supposed too
If any more/different info is needed please ask.

Can you show a screenshot of this issue?

The animations length is there, but nothing shows up in the editor.

Have you tried clicking the three dots, and clicking open animation? I apologize if this sounds a bit too simple but I want to understand the situation some more

I clicked the three dots, there doesnt seem to be an “open animation” in the drop down menu…

Apologies, running on memory here. There is likely a “load animation” option.

yes ive done that, it hasnt worked…

Likely just data loss then. There isn’t anything you can do, sorry.

they are still visible in explorer wdym? im 100% sure they are just hidden.

Then they should be open-able. You could be clicking a wrong rig, have the keyframes in the wrong places, or have empty keyframes.

key frames arent empty, im clicking the right rig as well…

Can you show this? I would like to make sure you’re doing it correctly.

as you can see, my keyframes are not empty…
EDIT: I just realized that the body part names under the keyframes are different than my model’s current ones, maybe this has something to do with it?

Yup. That would be the sole reason.

click the + and click add all on that drop down menu image

that just added all the body parts, not the keyframes…

Well uh no surprise I guess, but I just had to redo my animations. This wasn’t a big deal as I had only 4 to do, with very few key frames so… ya… Thx to all that helped!
