I know this issue has been raised numerous times. And despite that, it continues to be a problem. I understand there is a complex algorithm that is probably applied to game keyword searches, and also catalog item searches, but complex or not, the results yielded should be relevant to the user’s search terms.
When I search keywords for my game titled, “Designer Dash Buy, Sell and Try on Clothes”, I don’t expect the game “Wrynx Outfits Shop” or “Ballroom Dance” to show pages before mine on search terms like “buy clothes”, “sell clothes”, or “try on clothes”. Not putting these games down, as I have never even played them. What I am saying is that these titles or descriptions lack these terms, where the title of my game actually has these words and phrases.
Likewise, when I search the term, “fashion show”, which is in my game’s description, games titled, “High Heels Race”, “High Heel Obby” which don’t have this term in either their title or description, are shown on page 1 of the results, and mine simply doesn’t appear at all. Again, I mean no disrespect to the games mentioned, just using them as an example.
It’s frustrating as both a player and developer to search for something and not be able to find relevant results. The same results seem to always be shown, regardless of the search words.
Does anyone know what I can do to make my game show under relevant keyword searches? Is there something I am missing on how to do that? Thanks in advance.
