Backstory
So, I started on this AAA Title rich story game about this young boy and his small family which contains his sister and his grandfather also including him! The grandfather has an illness that can’t just be cured with any sort of medicine but one that must contain a series of special ingredients found only on a planet light years away! The sister decides to takes matters into her own hands and one night she just sneaks right out of the village without a trace left, then here you are the player that must figure out not only where she went but if she’s even alive.
love the concept but if its space heavy why not go for a like mars base bio dome mixxed with the 15th century stone and wood buildings? really make a world of your own and pop off with that lore
The thing is its not really space heavy but its supposed to be a mix of any time period, basically this game has no time period it isnt the future or the past sorry if that makes literally no sense
Is this why you have been missing so long?!? I love story games and I think you are doing great!
no i just well, i just took a long break for really no reason im just a really weird person i always wanted to make a story game and these past few days ive made more actual progress on the main gameplay then other games ive worked on…
Im not sure what im gonna do with dwiddle but its not dead maybe
i like the story and stuff.
its cool and stuff
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO plz keep developing Dwiddle it helps keep me inspired!!!
The layout of the processing design is absolutely defined, but here are some recommendations from me:
-
In the intro part of the video, the ClickDetector of the GUI that lets you start the story blends with the sky, making it impossible to see, so maybe add a border around the GUI or change the color.
-
The storyboard is nice, but add cutscenes for a better experience on what the story is mostly about.
-
As you “wake up”, the player is stuck in the bed, so maybe reposition the spawn on top of the bed.
-
Even though the game is a layout, in the future of your game, make a GUI note if possible.
Either way, I like what you are doing now, keep up the good work!
I’m sorry to tell you this, but @IProgramForFun Did not find developing “Dwiddle” fun anymore. Therefore it is a discontinued project.
for now
I like where its going, although try improving on the UI.
That is awesome, although it’d be cool if you change the cursor to something way cooler throughout the entire game!
