To My understanding is that when building in studio instead of using parts that i could use unions correct so say if i was to build a building or even walls could i possibly use unions instead of them being a part or will that cause the game to lag since it will be a clothing game where its claimable and able to have a player to join and sell there clothes within game for robux with the market place api? Im just not 100% understanding it maybe because i see people use unions for building instead of parts all the time. Thank you guys for explaining in advanced btw

Are you asking if you can use Unions insead of Parts? Yes you can, but they lag if you have a lot of them
but I think the same can be said for parts because if you have multiple parts or a union made out of those parts It’d be more or less the same
I conducted some “tests”
During which I started a bunch of Unions (about 20 million polygons)
, my fps gave out about 50-60 (I was with an unlocker), also at a distance
Then I converted them to Mesh Format, the same thing, but with the distance with Perfomance value, the fps is much higher
the longer I stay away from them, the more fps, there is no such thing with unions
I haven’t done this with Parts, but I can say
That alliances require a certain amount of time to load in the game and are better used in small game maps.
Parts are loaded immediately when you enter the game, since this is an object already downloaded on your computer, which is not required to be downloaded again.
But I’m not an expert in this, just expressing an opinion
thank you for some reason i kept thinking that unions are better instead of having alot of parts like why have 100 parts as one model when it can be cutt down alot is what i was trying to get if unions were ablet to cutt down on part counts ect to make the game benefit everyone even those who dont have a high end pc or phone to work with
