Kohaú | Hibachi Assistant Promotion Guide

Kohaú Group

Introduction

Kohaú’s Recruitment Department is constantly looking for dynamic, hard-working and reliable staff members to join our executive team. If you’re a Senior Hibachi Chef or Certified Hibachi Chef and want to rank up even further, these tips will make it easier for you.

What do Hibachi Assistants do?

Hibachi Assistant (HA) is the first executive role in our team. Individuals in this role are tasked with several duties, including: supervising and moderating the game, assisting in training sessions, and helping customers and staff with any problems. Individuals in this rank are expected to maintain weekly activity, with requirements of at least 120 minutes and 2 sessions per week.

Hibachi Assistants also must demonstrate a respectful attitude, leadership capabilities, and professionality when executing their duties. As our team is the biggest of any roleplay group, teamwork is a fundamental skill for all executives to possess.

How do I get promoted?

In order to get Hibachi Assistant, you must be recommended by one of our existing executive members. Any executive ranked Supervisor+ can recommend you to the Recruitment Department, who will then keep an eye on your activity and behavior over a period of a few weeks. If the Recruitment Department sees you being consistently professional and active, they will recommend you for a spot on the executive team.

The Recruitment Department will only consider you for a spot on the team if you meet the following prerequisite requirements:

  • Must be 13+ years old and not have safechat on your Roblox account
  • Must be a Senior Hibachi Chef or Certified Hibachi Chef
  • Must be in the Roblox community (group) and our communications server
  • Must have a Roblox account at least 3 months old
  • Must be able to demonstrate use of proper grammar
  • Must have a good background/reputation, no history of hinting, etc

If you aren’t sure if your background/reputation will stop you from being recommended, you can always ask. Anyone ranked Staffing+ will be able to tell you whether you are blacklisted from the executive team, and for what reason. Note that most blacklists are appealable, but appeals are rarely accepted.

How do I get noticed?

Our Recruitment Department is in game every day looking for new candidates to promote. At the time of writing this message, there are over 70 people actively being monitored by the team to potentially get promoted to HA.

As the Chairman, here are a few of my personal tips on getting noticed as a SHC:

1. We value consistency over bursts of high activity.
  • Consistent activity over a period of a few weeks demonstrates your dedication to Kohaú. We’re not looking for you to spend thousands of minutes in game for a few weeks just to burn yourself out when you do eventually become an executive.
  • Aim for at least 30 minutes of activity in-game every day - it is true to say the more the better, but don’t overwork yourself.
2. Be productive whilst you are at the restaurant. Don't go idle for too long or be off-task.
  • Our Recruitment Department tracks your productivity throughout the period that they are recruiting you. If you are seen standing around or being off-task instead of serving, you will likely lower your chances of becoming an executive.
3. Mini-modding or trying to befriend executives will not get you promoted faster.
  • The Recruitment Department promotes you for being productive in your role as a Chef. If you are not carrying out Chef duties and instead mini-modding or trying to act like an executive, your chances of promotion will be lowered. Let the executives do their jobs.
  • Many executives find it annoying if they think you’re trying to befriend them just to get recommended quicker. Don’t do this.
4. Don't hint.
  • One of the biggest turn-offs for Recruitment members is when you hint that you deserve a promotion. We don’t promote people who ask for promotions. Make yourself known without asking for a promotion.
  • Also, complaining about others’ promotions will instantly ruin your own promotion chances, both as a Chef and executive.
5. Attend shifts.
  • Shifts are a great way to get noticed as you have almost a 100% chance of serving an executive. See upcoming shifts in the #schedule channel in our communications server.
6. Be different.
  • Our Recruitment members get served by a lot of people, so be creative when you’re serving. We love to see chefs going above and beyond with customized greetings and other personal touches that make the serving experience more unique and personal.
7. Use grammar.
  • This is often overlooked as, whilst we don’t require grammar, we will look for it in promotion candidates. You won’t get promoted if you have inconsistent grammar in-game.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I try for MR if I have safechat?
  • No, unfortunately your Roblox account must be aged 13+ to join our executive team.
Can I get recommended as a Certified Hibachi Chef?
  • Yes, Certified Hibachi Chefs are classed as the same level as Senior Hibachi Chef and are eligible for recommendation.
Do I need Robux to be an executive?
  • No, we do not look at candidates based on their looks or usernames. We value your attitude and hard work more than how much Robux you spent on your avatar.
  • We have a team of over 300 people and not one person was promoted due to their avatar.
What age do you need to be to work here?
  • As stated above, you cannot have safechat on your Roblox account, so you must be aged 13+ to work as an executive. If you’re under 13, you are still welcome to work as a Chef.
What if no one is ever in my server to notice me?
  • As any executive ranked Supervisor+ can recommend you, there’s a high chance you’ll be able to find servers with these members in them.
  • We have multiple ways of tracking your activity, even when no admins are present in your server. The best way to find admins in servers is to join shifts.
Am I blacklisted from becoming a Hibachi Assistant?
  • You can always ask any Staffing member whether you are blacklisted or not. Note that your eligibility for HA will be determined based on multiple factors such as previous punishments, past behavior and whether you have improved since then.
  • Blacklists are almost always appealable, though appeals are rarely accepted.
Can I try for MR again if I have been one before?
  • Yes, provided that you are not blacklisted from the team (see the point above), you can work back up as a Chef. Note that it is ever-increasingly competitive to get HA, so you aren’t guaranteed to get noticed or promoted quickly even if you have been an executive in the past.
Are promotions biased?
  • In order for someone to get promoted, they must be approved by a clear majority of the Recruitment Department, not just one person. In almost all cases, the entire Recruitment Department will unanimously agree on the promotion of a candidate. This avoids any bias in promotions.
  • Whilst there’s nothing stopping executives from recommending their friends, all candidates are subject to the same monitoring and background checks throughout the recruitment process. So in short, no, we don’t promote people just because they’re someone’s friend.
Can I know if I have been noticed yet?
  • We don’t disclose to you whether you are being actively recruited or not, but chances are you are active, you’re being monitored. We keep this a secret so that you can’t predict if you’re going to get promoted or not.

If you still have a question about becoming a Hibachi Assistant, any executive will be able to answer it. Find someone in-game or in our communications server to ask further questions!

I enjoy being transparent about the inner workings of the group, and hope that you found this guide helpful. We wish you the best of luck in your journey to receive Hibachi Assistant.
