I had heard news yesterday from a recent post by @mothmage that trading in korea is banned I am just wondering will I have to make a script to disable the trading for that country or does it automatically disable trading?
What do you mean “trading”? Trading limiteds or, like adopt me pets?
No Trading Anything In Korea Is Banned Its Not Legal There Anymore.
But what kind of trading? Can you please define further?
The posts seem to be game-specific. This is behavior that you would need to implement on your own using localization services to determine the player’s location and handle it accordingly. Personally, though, I would wait for a change in ROBLOX’s policies before taking any action.
All Trading Or At Least That’s What I Heard.
But there is the PolicyService. If you start using that then you will not need to worry about policy changes as the methods would stay up-to-date.
In the Adopt Me post I linked, it states
This is part of a Roblox-led program to comply with this law and as such, all other Roblox games will be making these changes in the following weeks.
It’s reasonably assumed Roblox will be notifying developers of this soon.
What is disallowed specifically in South Korea is “whether the player can trade virtual items that were purchased with in-game or real-world currency” and therefore PolicyService:IsPaidItemTradingAllowed exists.
For many games, this includes every item as they can be purchased with virtual currency.
By Putting That Script In My Game It Will Automaticallly Disable Trading In That Country If I Am Not Mistaken Alright Thank You.
IT IS Legal in Korea. just roblox banned korean trading.
There is no laws prohibit paid item trading.
Non-Roblox games (including Korean games) do not prohibit item trading at all. It’s legal. Only Roblox prohibits item trading in Korea.
