JOINING INSTRUCTIONS
JOINING INSTRUCTIONS
So you are interested in joining our group? The Covenant of Karathia is a casual war group that maintains a small team of elite well-rounded warriors. We strive to achieve a quality-over-quantity approach. We do not typically take part in large scale group operations (such as 24/7 places).
Events & Activity
KTA maintains its primary activity through scheduled events. As most of our community is made up of young adults, we prioritize scheduling raids with other groups ahead of time. We will occasionally host patrols and group trainings as they are needed. The best way to engage in activities is to ask for leadership to organize events - or take the lead, and seek permission to organize an event on your own.
Expectations of members
KTA members are expected to contribute to events whenever possible. Effort will always be made to announce events ahead of time. Members should try their best to be available for these events, or discuss with leadership times that best work for them. Members will NOT be removed from the group for inactivity.
Promotions
When a member joins, they will hold the rank of Recruit. In order to be promoted to Private, a member will have to either attend a raid, or attend an entry training. Members will be expected to bring their own skills to the table or attempt to learn on the fly. As you attend events, you can expect to be promoted to Corporal.
All ranks above Corporal are considered appointments (Sergeant) or commissions (Lieutenant+). We are always looking for people interested in taking command positions. When the offers are announced, put your name in to be considered! Or, speak to your commanding officer.
Company & Specialized Divisions
Upon promotion to Private, all KTA members will be assigned to a company. Currently, there is Alpha and Bravo Company. Companies assign each member a direct commanding officer and leadership to whom they can speak to, as well as prepare members for team vs team internal competitions. Company is denoted on the members uniform as red or blue.Specialized divisions include:
- Spectre Program: a gathering of all of KTA’s most elite fighters.
- Federal Security: a gathering of members who fulfill policing roles.

The background story about the Covenant of Karathia, 2023 edition.ORIGINS
The Covenant of Karathia traces its origins back to 21st century Earth, being descendant of North American and Western European nations.
The year 2100 marked the historic landing and creation of the first off-world human colony on the planet P5X-Y9Y, known as New Earth due to its close topographical and atmospheric similarities to Earth. The initial colony was identified as Kiev, and formed the backbone from which more colonies would form.
As additional colonies formed around the planet, an effort was made by many colonies to establish independent governance from Kiev and Earth, with the intention of forming their own national boundaries and identities. After tense negotiation, an agreement was made for each of the colonies to establish their own government and borders, with the exception of a centralized military force for planetary defense. This resulted in the creation of multiple nations across the planet including Karathia, Kieresmere, and Anatoray. These nations would peacefully cooperate in the development of New Earth and the establishment of a central military force.
ESCALATION
The peace between the nations of New Earth did not last long. By the year 2115, the central military force proved itself unwilling to provide protection to several nations, including Karathia and Anatoray, and instead focused its efforts on the protection of more wealthy nations. Attacks from insurgent forces and pirate groups were left unchallenged across the planet, while military forces focused their efforts within the borders of some of the more elite nations. Anatoray’s government collapsed, and its cities razed.
Karathia made its proclomation to the people of new earth in the formation of it’s Covenant, a reorganization of its people into a single, militarized force for the purposes of facing this insurgent threat and destroying anyone who would dare cause harm to its citizens. By 2120, Karathia had established a military workhorse capable of dealing with the insurgent threat. Its forces took action with the indiscriminate invasion of Anatoray, to cleanse the insurgent population and integrate the remaining civilization and its resources into the Covenant.
The establishment of a national military force was in direct contravention of international regulations, however it was tolerated as long as the insurgent threat remained.
STAND OFF
By 2125 the insurgent threat had been wiped out, and Kieresmere called for the disbandment of the Covenant’s Armed Forces and the unconditional withdrawal of all Karathian elements from the territory it occupied. The Sky Marshal refused, and established Karathia as an isolationist state that would no longer take part in international affairs. This resulted in the creation of private armies all around the world, and the establishment of very long and well defended borders between all nations.
By 2130 the Covenant was seeking to expand its operations, primarily through space. Kieresmere directly objected, and stated that no nation shall be allowed to establish a spaceborne military force outside of the unified planetary defense. Again, the Sky Marshal refused and began the deployment of multiple space stations and satellites.
In 2131 Kieresmere began a massive clandestine assault that targetted key Covenant infastructure and leadership. On 13 January 2131 A surface-to-air missile struck the Sky Marshal’s helicopter 30 kilometers north after having departed Outpost Basilisk. The Sky Marshal had been killed.
Additional simultaneous strikes by clandestine agents caused significant disruption across the nation. The destruction of the main fuel pipeline, the violent armed capture of Artemis Space Station, the detonation of a 5000-lb bomb outside of the Spire, and the murder of multiple senior military officers. Military forces from bordering nations had already began to forcefully cross the Covenant’s border. The evidence was clear. War had been declared.
THE WAR FOR NEW EARTH
The Covenant was faced with a deadly scenario. Destroy or be destroyed. With the Sky Marshal dead, and the general staff scattered across the nation. the Legate General, the heir to the Sky Marshal’s position initiated the order to activate and launch the covenant’s secret stockpile of 300 nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles.
This launch took the world by surprise, as the international ban on nuclear weapons was monitored and enforced strictly. Nobody thought possible the Covenant was capable of establishing this capability in a mere five years.
The strikes were immediate. The detonation of the weapons as they struck the planet shook the globe. In the initial explosion, millions would die and cities would fall. The aftermath saw further destruction as nations announced their capitulation or just simply disapeared. The Covenant and her people were safe, as they had prepared for this contingency. The remaining hostile forces invading Karathia were fended off and rounded up, the threat of attack was over as quickly as it started.
AFTERMATH
The result of the nuclear detonations left the world standing still. Entire civilizations had vanished, continents were coated with nuclear fallout, and the oceans lowered as they filled the space where cities once stood. Karathia and its territories were left mostly unscathed, its people unsure of what the future would hold. We were at peace from our enemies, but we were at war with the planet.
By 2150, the Covenant had saved and integrated millions of survivors. A new genetic medical treatment was developed capable of preventing human tissue from suffering the effects of radiation, marking the genetic creation of the Karathian. A being that would be identical to a normal human - if it weren’t for the solid black eyes.
New Earth would now be known by the name of its new inhabitants - Karathia would continue to develop solutions to the nuclear problem until it was no longer one. The future was within our control.
PROSPERITY
As Karathia prospered at home, it now sook out opportunities to explore the galaxy. Soon new colonies would form, we would make new friends and enemies, and we would discover the mysteries the universe had to offer.
