Lagginess of mac in studio and in game

Hello, so I usually test my game like a normal person, but whenever I do, my frames are really choppy and inconsistent. It makes the whole play experience for me all the less enjoyable, and I am wondering if there is anyway to fix this other than make the graphics 0. In comparison, my friend has a much less powerful computer, yet his runs roblox smoothly. Thanks!

What Mac do you use? I have been experiencing this issue on my Mac in studio.

I use a macbook air from a few years ago. It’s not just in studio, it’s also in game. My frames range from 30-60 for some reason.

30 fps should be pretty stable for a game and studio, it might just be how old the Mac is getting and the roblox software is outdated for it.

It gets pretty annoying and the thing is, it fluctuates between those, so one second it will be 60, the next is 48, the next 28, then etc. Is there any way to stabilize it?

The only way I would think is to either get a new computer or dig as deep as you can to see if its a bug with roblox or your computer.

Can you show me your specs please.

Macs with Intel chips have a bad history of frying up roblox studio

Do you have an antivirus installed, run a clean, because old files and background apps can clog up your pc

I am not sure of the specs. What antivirus is good?

Roblox Studio is not meant for Mac. It has been made with Windows in mind, meaning that naturally problems like this will occur. People are trying to drive attention to this, but for now, Studio on Mac is just going to be like this.

Is game also meant to be only for windows?

Yep. All of Roblox is meant for Windows.

Probably Norton or Avast, although Norton is my personal favorite.

Do you think with the new M1 Chip on apple’s new computer, Roblox will have to re make the studio app?

Roblox already has a couple problems with Intel chips.

I’m assuming so. Changes in such performance have to mean that something has changed in their chips. Whether Roblox will use this as a chance to improve Studio’s performance on the Mac, I can’t say for certain.

List these problems, as I am not aware of them.

Severe lag with maps and models and sometimes Scripts being lagged to work in, although I received the first one from a friend, Script editor being laggy on mac isn’t that big of a surprise.
