Laptop instantly gets to automatic restart when opening a roblox game

Helping a Friend! So my friend has a Windows 8 and his whenever he plays ROBLOX the laptop immediately gets to automatic restart.

Example:
Windows_10_manually_initiated_BSOD

Before that happened he can still play ROBLOX but when it upgraded “Upgrading Roblox …” that’s where the problem appeared. (He can still access the page)

Here are the specs of the laptop:

Processor: Intel(R) Cote™ i3-2310M CPU @ 210GHz 210 GHz 800 GB
Installed RAM: 8.0 GB
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Edition: Windows 8.1 Pro

Did you try,

  • Uninstall and Reinstall ROBLOX?
  • Check storage to see if you have free space?
  • Ensure there is not too much load on the computer CPU or RAM? (You can check using task manager)
  • Run an antivirus scan to see if you have anything else causing it?

Hello Carlzum, the Bluescreen says it’s a manually initiated crash, which means there’s something malicious going on. If reinstalling Roblox (completely wiped and reinstalled) doesn’t fix it, then I would consider formatting the computer. Anyway, you should ask Microsoft support.

That wasn’t their actual blue screen, it was just a stock photo from the internet.

Hello blueberry, I assume that his error was the same. Otherwise, @stevenfury91 would have given us the right error code… Right?

If not, please tell us the error code.
