When a large part uses the BlockMesh with a Y scale of 0 and/or Y offset, the part is not rendered at all.
Flood Escape 2 uses this method to render only the surface of parts as if it were a liquid. But the recent flag change has broken this.
I recall this being an issue a few months ago but only for a short time. But it seems like this is going to be permanent unless it gets reported.
If you want an example, just play a few rounds in my game Flood Escape 2.
Expected behavior
A large part with a BlockMesh Y Scale of 0 and Y Offset of at least half the Y Size of the part should still be rendered.
Yeah, a very recent issue where parts (doesnโt matter, it could be meshes, unions, or just normal parts) disappear and reappear randomly has been happening in our game too.
Would be great if the flag that caused this could be disabled and looked into.
Can confirm this bug is happening in my game too. The water in my ocean is a blockmesh sized ( 70000, 0, 70000 ) and it ONLY shows up in studio and not the live game. No offset used. Same recency. Windows 10. Latest studio version (0.591.0.5910633)
Edit: Changing y scale to 1 fixes it not appearing, but then youโre using a thick y value where the camera can be inside it (making the water barrier invisible during that moment of transition)
This bug might be affecting my game too, massive chunks of objects will randomly disappear, it works fine in studio and only started happening when i updated roblox.
Is there any update on this available? It seems to have been mitigated at first but promptly returned. Itโs affecting games like Neo Warfare X and our community is also wondering if there will be a fix soon.
Just a quick update, our team has mitigated this issue and is currently working on a permanent fix. You should no longer be encountering this issue within your experiences.
