New Features
2023 Christmas Event
Christmas has officially arrived in the state of Lawcountry. Here’s what you can do in this limited time event and what you can get with Christmas XP (CXP):
Activities
** Christmas Bingo!*
Every 8 minutes, a bingo round near Timothy Park, where the event is, will start! There must be at least 3 players for the round to begin.
Sit down in the chairs allotted to the bingo games, and a UI will appear in a FNAF styled menu. Hover your mouse over the arrow button at the bottom to toggle your bingo menu. Once an image is called on the screen, mark it on your card! 5 in a row, including the free spot, is a bingo! A button will appear on your screen when you have 5 in a row.
However, note that if you leave the seat at any time, you forfeit your round and can’t sit down until the next round! This is to prevent people from joining last second to win the game.
Rewards:
- Winner: 60 CXP
- Participation: 5 CXP
** Present Delivery**
Retrieve presents from Santa’s sleigh, and deliver it to houses and buildings around the map! Once you receive a present, a blip will appear on your map where you will need to delivery it. Place the gift down in the spot to finish the delivery. Once you deliver it, you are free to retrieve another gift and do it again!
3-5 CXP per delivery
** Gnome Hunting**
No, it isn’t actually gnome hunting. You aren’t shooting any gnomes today. However, there are 2 gnomes that wil appear in random spots around the map. If you find these gnomes, go up to them and hold down the associated prompt to receive your reward! Once you finish the prompt, it will disappear to another location. Note that the other Gnome B will NOT disappear if you find and complete the prompt of Gnome A. Only Gnome A will teleport.
50 CXP per gnome discovery

New Civilian Car Customizations
License Plate System
- Every car you own now has a generated license plate number. You can change this license plate in the shop, toggle visibility for both your front and rear plates exclusively from each other, and change the background of the license plate!
- Toggle Plate Visibility: $500
- Text Change: $2,000
- Background Change: $1,000
Secondary Color
- Exclusive to certain vehicles that possess a valid second color
- Change your car’s second color to a color of your choice!
- $750
Rim Color
- You can now use the custom color picker used by the primary color selection to pick the rim color of your choosing!

Headlight Color
- Change the color of your headlights to make your car stand out even more! Although, some colors may make visibility harder for the headlights. Choose wisely!

:PoliceBlue: :PoliceRed: New AI PD Callout: Active Shooter
Handle the shooting assailant! This assailant is armed with 1 of 4 weapons: G17, Desert Eagle, AR-15, or M4 Carbine. You must respond as quick as you can and take out (and hopefully arrest) the citizen!
Notes
- The NPC wanders
- Weapon damage from this AI is 80% reduced from actual player weapon damage amounts.
- The active shooter will lock on and shoot nearby players
- You can tase them or use a Riot Shield, your choice!
- 20 XP for arresting
:PoliceRed: :PoliceBlue: Added Whelen V2V Sync ELS
This has been highly requested, and with the new client improvements noted later in this message, we took the opportunity to also implement this!
From now on, all ELS is synced across all vehicles, which means that the ELS patterns will flash the same way across all vehicles. This makes for more uniform/organized on-scene ELS! However, they will only sync to the same vehicles and same stage. ELS will not sync if a vehicle is a different vehicle from yours, or the same vehicle model (as yours) is on a different stage of ELS. Though, since there is only one stage of ELS in the SLPD vehicles currently, you won’t see this stage limitation much. Unfortunately, in real life and in-game, two different cars have different ELS packages, so they can not be synced.

Improvements
We have heavily optimized and rewrote some core game scripts. As the game’s scripts become older, and our programmers’ scripting knowledge expands, it is necessary to rewrite certain things for the game so it performs at its best. You can find our changes below:

GUI handling is now on the client as opposed of the server. This should lead overall reduced server memory.

Wanted time GUI no longer depends on server to display accurate wanted time

Rewrote RadioHandler & CAD Manager scripts

Cars are now exclusively stored into ReplicatedStorage, as opposed of having 2 copies of each vehicle in ServerStorage and ReplicatedStorage (for server-client differences previously)

ALPR & Pursuit detection is now ran on the client

ELS is now handled on the client, which will lead to less laggier/slow patterns. This does not mean you can only see your pattern, you will still see everyone else’s pattern!

Rear belt attachments no longer float off the belt

Players can no longer jump when detained

Tazed players now stay on the ground for 7 seconds instead of 5 seconds

Tazed players will have a significant walkspeed debuff and can not jump for 8 seconds after being tazed

AI no longer do damage when tazed

AI no longer attack players that aren’t on a team with weapons

Streetlight callouts now spawn in a random fashion as opposed of having the same few ones every time (it wasn’t randomized before)

Added physical button for notifications with a callback (e.g. crew invitations), as opposed to clicking the notification. This naturally fixes the issue with trying to close the notification and it presses the notification.

Crew invites can no longer be spammed

Crew cuts now adjust automatically when players leave or get kicked

Trunk GUIs titles now reflect whether the vehicle has a trunk or frunk

Removed & refunded level 4 engine from the customization shop
