Layered Clothing Hair exists but how

Curly Afro - Cool Brown - Roblox

Has anyone published a hair accessory with a wrap layer except Roblox? Is it even possible?

These accessories exist. They are even integrated into the Avatar Setup tool. The hair wraps around the head like layered clothing. They have a cage set up and everything. But after searching I cant find where anyone has mentioned this ONCE since the announcement of layered clothing 2 years ago.

I might just have to try it and report back, unless im mistaken and someone knows if this is something that would validate.

Bump. Been trying to find this as well

From what I understand, similar to shoes, 0nly roblox has the power.

Yea it does seem to be impossible.

Whether uploading a hair as part of a bundle or as a stand-alone accessory, it doesnt work. You get the error: “Asset type ‘HairAccessory’ is not a layered clothing category. It can only be used with rigid accessories.”

Which is a shame, because by all accounts they seem to work a lot better. Especially for oversized-heads. Hopefully someday this will be possible.

I’m doing something similar (that’s why I found your post), the only way to do it is to do it in layered clothing (like a shirt for example).
It is approved, so it is possible but only with this technique.

But rigging is much more difficult.

It will be removed for incorrect categorization if you ever get a lot of sales on a hair item uploaded as a shirt. Ive had an accessory removed because of this before.

It wasn’t a hair accessory but the same rule will apply.

The thing I wanted to figure out was how to put a layered hair into the “hair” category in the catalog. It just isn’t possible right now, unless it’s uploaded as part of a bundle.
