The issue is HSR not working correctly and not hiding limbs underneath the accessory, below is an example.
To get around this issue before you would need to restart studio for HSR data to be created however this no longer works anymore either, instead you need to copy the accessory that was uploaded in one studio file to a entirely new studio place and then HSR will work. This gets tedious when you have a lot of layered clothing to upload.
Expected behavior
I expect for HSR data to be created when I upload my layered clothing to the studio instead of having to restart studio or take the layered clothing to another place.
To add to this I get this error, I am unable to test out or upload any layered clothing now as the cage is not being generated at all even with the work around…
To add onto this, this issue prevents HSR from working even after the items are uploaded unless I load a brand new studio place for every single item I upload.
I also wanna mention that this issue started around the same time jackets for 1.0 clothing especially refused to load on the avatar (would disappear instantly) when loaded second to anything else in studio.
I would like to add another finding of mine just in case anyone else is having this issue, I can’t use new places anymore to generate HSR.
The new work around that I’ve found is to just drag my accessories to test them once the mesh is made into a layered accessory.
If you copy/cut/paste the accessory at all for some reason it gets rid of the HSR data/invalidates it leading to the same issue.
Wdym dragging? like dragging the accessory on to the avatar, then uploading? I tried that but HSR still doesnt work in game (I can upload the clothing, HSR just doesnt work) also im fairly “new” to layered clothing so if im getting stuff mixed up do let me know! ty
Hi @cSapphire, I’m trying to narrow down the cause of this issue - do subsequent uploads of the same assets result in it working/not working? Or once it fails for one garment, does it always fail for that garment.
Hi, reuploading to the site does not help. Once the item has an HSR issue, the only possible solution is re-importing and trying other things such as putting it on an NPC, restarting studio, or copy and pasting it. However, it is not consistent if any of these methods will help with HSR. It is very hit or miss if it works, and the type of clothing it effects always varies as well. Sometimes it will affect t-shirts, sometimes pants, shoes, etc.
I am currently facing the same issue. I’ve tested my garment on multiple avatars in studio and HSR seems to work there, however when I publish it, it no longer works and the body is poking through in a few areas.
I’ve reimported it and reuploaded it and I still get the same issue.
This issue is still persisting and for some reason it has affected assets that have previously had working HSR… now my old clothing that had HSR working is being affected with broken HSR.
