Layered Clothing not moving with custom character

Hello, I’m trying to make my custom character rig support layered clothing (atleast shirts and pants) for my game.

I made a cage mesh, exported it and tried to make everything just like Roblox’s R15 rig. While the clothing wrapped around VERY nicely, most of the clothing didn’t move with the limbs.

I’ve tried renaming all the WrapTargets to the names of the limbs they are attached to, though that didn’t seem to fix anything.
I made sure the rig’s RigType is set to R15, and even copied over the Humanoid from an R15 rig.
I tried copying over some of the Attachments R15 limbs have though that didn’t help either.

did you weight-paint it?
try following the tutorial step by step, even if it’s not what you want to make, it should help you figure out how.

hey i have a question i made a layered cloth and i weigh painted it and verified if it worked with the accessory fitting tool with the emotes and when i wear it it doesnt move what should i do?

i added the outer cage and everything is ready btw
it just doesnt move when i test it

did you follow the steps in the documentation? If it doesn’t move then that’s probably a problem with the armature (bones)

I have the same problem right now. Did you find a way to fix it?

i found a way to fix it but i forgot what was the fix because i found the fix a while ago :sob:
