I have 2 leaderboards in my almost-finished game. One shows the top scores (resets seasonally) while the other shows the amount of wins (doesn’t reset). This means that newer players might never make it to the wins leaderboard. Do you think this is a good idea? How do most games do it?
I was thinking of making 2 seasonal and 2 all-time leaderboards, but that might be too much. I wanted to give rewards to players in seasonal leaderboards.
Hello! Lets take Blade Ball as an example. They have leaderboards for wins and kills. They don’t reset their leaderboards so newbies can’t really climb up the ranks. But i think your design will work well because they can still compete in the seasonal leaderboard, but the win leaderboard is for people who are competitive from the start and want to achieve 1# place.
