Let us choose to send a notification to every group member when we update permissions

Hello I’m Ryxku and I would like to submit a very important request related Roblox games and roblox mails. People can be annoyed for receiving some random mail because someone made a small change, it’s sometimes not important to know.

And I believe group owners can abuse of this automatic roblox mail feature to send an email to everyone in their groups. Imagine doing that for a group who has 1 million of members receiving a boring email about your group, you can be hated for that :skull:
Let us disable or remove totally this feature.

Hi Ryxku!

You received this notification because you are part of a 52 person role called “:milky_way:Aurora Borealis:rainbow:” in this group. We agree with you regarding spam, and have some internal checks in place to prevent millions of users being spammed. A notification will not be sent regarding permission changes if it is above a threshold. We will be working on more robust safeguards to prevent other spam scenarios in the future, as well.

We also believe your notification experience should be completely in your control, so you can opt-out of any specific notification in your Creator Hub Settings. To opt-out of this notification, please visit your settings here!

Thank you for the feedback, I’ll pass it along to the team!

Of course, no worries! Thanks for reporting the issue.

Could you tell me more about your trouble finding this setting? If you had trouble finding it, then I’m sure others are having trouble as well!

  • Did you have trouble finding your general notification settings, or the setting for this particular notification?
  • Was it the location or the description that was confusing?
  • Did you try to look for it somewhere else? Where did you go to try to find it?

I’ll also pass along this feedback to the team too!

From https://create.roblox.com/ to the settings page, there is no easy way to get there. I had to click on the notifications button, click on the three dots, and then settings.

I believe it would be beneficial to have a settings button on the side bar.

Hi debugMage!

You can access the settings page directly from the Top Navigation bar, by clicking on your username. Please see the screenshot below.

  • Were you aware this existed?
  • Was it not intuitive to you to click here to access settings?

This feedback is super helpful for us to improve the navigation experience for Creator Hub, thank you!

I only thought there was a log out button when clicking on your username. I think there’s a lack of consistency between the main Roblox site and the Creator Hub.

With the screenshots below, you can see how the profile picture, username, and notification button are consistent between both sites, but the settings icon is missing. This made me believe there were no settings for the Creator Hub.

It’s not intuitive next to logout. Because it’s not related at all with our account.

Personally I would have looked on the left in dashboard for the settings, I find that it is hidden currently and this button needs more visibility because it’s very important to have settings to manage our group and games.
