Users have been able to upload badges since August 2009, and within the past decade there have been countless badges created. Some games have managed to create dozens of badges over their history, giving players a surplus of achievements to go for. However, up until recent years being able to award badges was a feature locked behind Builders Club. If you managed to lose your BC during that time, all of your badges would be turned off until you purchased BC again.
Thankfully while requiring a membership is no longer a limitation, we’re still left with plenty of creators who filled their places with badges, and yet those badges no longer work due to being disabled. It should be an easy fix, just turn on all the badges again… But right now, that’s a lot harder for players to ask old devs to go back to and fix with how tedious of a process it is.
There is no method to enable every badge belonging to a game at once. It’s not on the place’s configure page, it’s not on the game’s configure page, and it’s not on the Create a Badge page. You must access each badge’s individual configure page (either from the Create a Badge page, or via right clicking a badge in the Game Explorer in Studio), click the Item is Active switch, and save it. This may be simple enough for a small amount of badges, but if your game has twenty, fifty, a hundred or even more badges, this is a process which can take a lot of time.
This is a request which fixes a problem I don’t think pops up too often, but it would be a nice way to streamline the process for the cases where it does happen.
