Level design and indoor lightning problem

I have a problem with level design and indoor lighting problem
I want to fix the lightning problem and I want to make to more detailed metro station

I would make the ambient darker, and move the lights down closer to the floor as a light would have to be insanely bright to reach the floor from where it is at the moment.

I would then desaturate the game a little, about -0.15 saturation.

I would also add more lights and make the spread on the current lights less, and add pillars in the building.

Put a surface light on the ceiling and cast it down to light up the entire room.
