Light Leak Issue

Hello, I’m trying to fix an issue where outside lighting is leaking into other rooms as well as lighting from other light sources (as shown below)

This is what lighting is set to, any help would be appreciated!

There have been a bunch of posts on this already. A quick search of the forums will give you more detailed answers, but here’s hte basics:

Thin walls cause the issue, especially at corners.
Make sure your light sources have ‘Shadows Enabled’.
Make sure your wall Parts have ‘Shadows Enabled’.

Everything has shadows enabled, but it could also be due to the thin walls like you said.

I’ve also tried the other forum posts ideas, but nothing seems to really work.

If it’s below the map or something, try adding non-invisible massive parts around it. It should block out all sunlight and makes it so the box would rely on a light source inside of it. I can show you an example from one of my games.

EDIT: Here, I had to put massive black-parts around the small room inside because I had the same issue as you.

I could do that, but the rooms get cloned and placed right next to each other, so I couldn’t do it for the sides.

Just put it around the sides that won’t have clones next to them, and then you can change the size to fit all of the cloned rooms. Otherwise, I do not think there is a solution to this.

EDIT: I just realised there is a way. But I’m not sure if you want to do it. If you block all sunlight, there is no light leaking.

Blocking all sunlight was considered, but some rooms require sunlight because we use parts that reflect the sky box. Now if there was a way to do so without the need of actual lighting, then that would be great.

With all the information provided, I cannot help you anymore since you have such specific requests. If you provide more information I may be able to continue helping you. (e.g. a video of the surrounding area)

Here is an example of what I mean by certain parts reflect the sky box

Can’t reflectance go through solid parts? I thought it could at least.

If you enclose your room in a giant part the outside lighting will bounce off of it.

Adding on to this, the OP can make it so that whenever the player enters the building, the part appears. This would make it look fine from the the outside.
