Lighting differences between mac and windows player

EDIT: Appears to be the standard screen settings messing up. Strange.

Sounds like a lighting issue. Does it happen on other games too? Or just Apoc rising? Have you tried it with the default lighting options?

This happens on every game, I just used apoc as example

Screenshots?

It might be that OpenGL shaders make scene darker for some reason. Try to switch over to OpenGL on PC and try to play. But it could also be the monitor.

I don’t see much of a difference. It’s probably your display.

Here’s a comparison:

I don’t think mac can emulate DirectX, even when emulating windows programs, so roblox might still use OpenGL.

If I can emulate multiple windows OSes on a single mac I am pretty sure I can emulate directx

You probably need to up the gamma on the harder-to-see screen.

Well there is still difference from emulated DirectX and from original DirectX. And it still seems that the emulated windows roblox player was using OpenGL, because roblox will automatically switch over to OpenGL if DirectX isn’t present.

I experienced this lighting change too when I changed computers a few months ago.

My experience was far more drastic than the example shown. I would show you a screenshot example but I threw away my old computer.
I’ve also heard about this from other players as well.
I know I have no solid evidence of anything, but these isolated incidences should be enough reason to investigate this further.

Really strange, it appears to be my screen settings after all… what is strange is that the picture I took on my windows computer is indeed pitch black on my mac pc.
