In my new project, I am having some issues with lighting. Could anyone help me understand how to light up these large areas? Thanks for reading! P.S: If this is in the wrong category, please tell me!
I would add a spotlight to the lights you have. I would make this spotlight point down and make it very bright with a big range, so it does not light up the roof as much. You could also add invisible light parts and group them with the big lights and add another spotlight to increase range.
Thanks, I will try to use this!
I would recommend simply either add more lights on the walls or simply set the CastShadow (Entirely or Part) to off to resolve the lighting issue (If you don’t mind having no dark spots in certain areas)
Similar to how QSERF does it
Also, it is recommended to use spotlights and surfacelights for any of the builds shown above and to add a beam effect to show a ray for the lights (to enhance the scene)
It is unrecommended to use fake lighting objects such as ‘invisible part with light object’ to fill in spaces as it could impact performance heavily or cause a weird ball of glow reflected onto other objects.
I updated the lighting by turning off cast shadow for the turbine hall. I realized that the reactor area is satisfactory for now. I also added beams and changed the lights to spotlights
