Lighting technology in-game & studio not always in line?

Reluctant to play my game after the most recent lighting changes (removal of compatibility), I went in to check some more of the damage.
Yes, most places where ruined because of the updated shadows, but some still seemed - the same?

I really hope I’m not digging my own grave addressing this, but when opening those places in Studio they DO show Voxel lighting and the horrid dark shadows, along with a message about the migration.
Obviously ain’t having saved of published anything, as who knows that ruins it by updating…

Comparison between:


shadows obviously won’t show because of the insane light (another effect of the lighting change), but in other places it’s insanely dark.

So… yes, I’d argue this is a good thing - if it wasn’t for the fact that eventually with a new game update I will have to update this place, which will probably then trigger this ugly new look…


Strangely enough however… some of the places HAVE updated and DO display this new ugly lighting migration change.

The what is odd is how some places have been updated, whilst others seem to have kept the aesthetic and Lighting Technology they used to have. (in-game this is)
In studio they’re all updated to look bad ;p


So has anyone else happened to have noticed this too?
And uh… considering how apparently it’s still possible to have this Compatibility look, why isn’t this supposed anymore when clearly it still shows up in random places? :thinking:

again, I’d hate to have dug my grave mentioning this, causing the final places to also enter this new state…
