I spent a few hours making a procedural lightning bolt effect module.
I do plan to add branching to the bolts. I know the sound effects are repetitive, this is because I only have 3 sounds added so far. Muffling and volume attentuation is distanced based using the speed of sound. The module also uses a tick-based system to generate each bolt, which allows for a seamless multiplayer experience if I choose to make a game with it!
