I’ve been looking for another alternative to make a “lightsaber blade effect” i’ve looked everywhere, nothing seems to pop up.
I’ve already finished the white base part of the lightsaber with a basic neon, I would just like to know how would you make the actual colors though? like technically the outer blue part of the blade for an example.
What do you mean? So you want it to have an inner and outer part that resembles a lightsaber blade effect?
You should just be able to use a single brightly colored cylinder for the blade
I would recommend using a beam or line of particles. If you want to include a neon part, you could put the beam/particles inside of the part and set it to face camera.
technically yes, something like a colorful thing on the outside/white area inside, some colors on the small
color padlet have this type of effect, though most, don’t have it.

If you want it to be part based, duplicate that inner white base part, enlarge it slightly, change the color to blue (or whatever blade color you want), and turn the transparency down. If you’d like to go the particle path, that also works fine.

It looks like a neon cylinder with a sphere on the end. They could also use beams, but I think neon parts look like it.
well bloom is somewhat part of the effect + the white area needs to be wider than the color leaking out, aka how it’s shown in the photo.
