Liminality | A backrooms psychological horror survival game

Showcase of the game’s level 0: Roblox Liminality | Level 0 (Infinite procedural generation) - YouTube

This is a huge project that my friends and I are working on, Liminality.

Each level will hopefully be infinite using procedural generation.

It’s gonna be a psychological horror survival game that focuses on recreating that feeling of what the backrooms used to be (Exploration)

Liminality will focus on the liminal horror aspect of the backrooms. It will also focus heavily on survival (gathering resources, setting up base camps to sleep and reduce your fatigue, ect.) which from what I’ve seen, no other game has done.

Currently, these are the features I’m planning on adding or have already added:

Heartrate system:
Your heartrate will increase when you perform actions such as: running, jumping, swimming, ect.
When your heartrate gets too high, you’ll start taking damage. If your health is below 25% hp, you’ll faint.

Watch system
Shows you your thirst, hunger, heart rate, and the time.

Phone system
Contains apps that help you survive

Sanity test app:
Checks your sanity level by having you answer 5 random questions

Internet app:
Web access (eg. in-game wiki)

Entities:
Most entities will just be hallucinations that will increase your heartrate when attacked by them.

Noclipping:

The manila room in level 0 (the room with one chair and table) will have documents that teaches the player how to noclip.

(There’ll be some sort of mini game the player has to complete in order to noclip)

Noclipping is a way to escape the current level into a random one.

I really need feedback, so if you have any opinions, questions, or suggestions, please let me know!

Please add an option to disable camera shake/ reduce camera shake. The current camera shake could cause motion sickness problems for certain players.
