Recently I noticed limited items that costed Tix (A former currency) are missing their original price when beforehand it showed (As shown below with Shaggy)
Since tickets haven’t been around for a long time and they wouldn’t want to confuse new users, I think the best they would be able to do here would be to have the original price marked as the Robux equivalent (varied based off of the trade currency exchange rates but usually was roughly 10 tickets to 1 robux).
Or maybe don’t show the original price at all—it can be really confusing for new players. I remember seeing a Dominus listed with an “original price” of 3,000 Robux and thinking I was getting scammed for paying 400,000.
I’ve noticed that a lot of Limited items (regardless of previously costing tix or not) have missing or inaccurate original prices.
For example the Target Hat originally costed 15 Robux not the listed 500.
Limited items (not Limited U), used to not have an original price listed, which IMO made a lot more sense as many of these items were given out via contests, events, or gifts. I think this info should probably just be removed entirely from Limited (not Limited U) items as the information is often times wrong or misleading and doesn’t really add anything to the item’s pages. If people want they can always dig up the item’s original prices or how they were obtained, but I don’t see how this information on the page benefits potential buyers or owners in any way.
I know there are some issues here and there with original price data, but in this case (Tix items) it could actually be intentional.
Showing a price without a currency is confusing anyway, and the platform is only dealing with Robux now. Since there was no original Robux price for those items, it would make sense to leave it blank.
Because there is no single definitive Tix ↔ Robux exchange rate, so they would have to choose an arbitrary rate, and it would it be meaningless in terms of accuracy. So they may as well not bother.
